PARIS - ZENOPS, the leading mobile games publisher on i-mode in Europe announces the acquisition of IN-FUSIO, FILAO and MOBILE SCOPE.
These acquisitions give ZENOPS access to catalogues of top games titles such as Ages of Empire II ®, Neopets ®, Asterix ®, Tour de France, Line Rider and Brain Trainer as well as first-class service applications for carriers and handset manufacturers through MOBILE SCOPE.
These deals strengthen ZENOPS’s position in Europe and worldwide, and takes the number of ZENOPS employees to some 200, based across all major markets (Europe, Asia and the USA). Thanks to its cross-platform development teams, ZENOPS is now able to produce games on all mobile technologies in the world, notably Brew, Java, openOS and Doja thereby covering over 1,000 handset devices.
Commenting on the deals ZENOPS CEO, Pascal Boiteux said: “ZENOPS has become one of the world’s top mobile games publishers on i-mode and has built a unique technology enabling it to release new products for a fraction of the cost of our competitors, while at the same time providing an exceptional level of quality to the player. With IN-FUSIO, MOBILE SCOPE and FILAO on board, we will be able to realize our ambition of publishing games and providing services to carriers, manufacturers and media companies on a much broader scale. “
MOBILE SCOPE, a division of the IN-FUSIO Group, will provide ZENOPS with solutions to help carriers and other companies with their wireless content offering in order to enhance traffic and customer loyalty. MOBILE SCOPE provides products and value-added services with revenue boosters such as EGE NG, PortalBooster and player community management.
Pascal Boiteux commented: "We welcome the IN-FUSIO, FILAO and MOBILE SCOPE teams with enthusiasm. Bringing on board the innovation mindset, technology and expertise of some of the world\'s leading mobile entertainment publishers and solution providers is a clear win for game players, manufacturers and carriers alike. It positions ZENOPS for further growth and is perfectly in tune with our strategy of delivering content for mobile phones and services dedicated to communities through cutting-edge technology and quality. We want to be a key player in the consolidation of this market, and these acquisitions make us the number two player in Europe and propel us into sixth place in the western world. With the strong support from our investors, we now have all the necessary assets and people in place to carry the development of ZENOPS forward".
François Lepicard, representing OCCAM CAPITAL, the leading VC fund supporting ZENOPS, said "We are proud to have led negotiations to facilitate the creation of the Number Two European player in the mobile games industry, and look forward to helping to build the highly efficient, high-quality service provider to both the telecom industry and the gamers’ community that ZENOPS aspires to be".
ZENOPS is now ideally positioned to benefit from the growth of the mobile phone market, especially when European and US carriers begin to focus their efforts on their applicative and data offers.
